    <title>Oct 1, Biggest Point Loss in History</title>

    <description>Monday, the DOW dropped 778 points on the news that the $700 Billion Bail Out plan was not passed in the House. 

Today, the Senate will vote on a slightly modified version of that Bill. 

I have to wonder if the &quot;modifications&quot; version of the bill passes in the Senate, who will be the inevitable beneficiaries? (And, ergo, the inevitable losers.) 

Also, if the Senate does pass it, what's next? Finally, what will that mean for mainstreeters? 

How about this: Instead of giving  $700 Billion to banks, give $1 million to each home owner in the country so they can pay their mortgage. That would still be less than $340 million. Then, with the leftover, pay out the wallstreeters. But of course that makes too much sense and sensibility for us, &quot;little people&quot;.</description>

    <description>Today on CNN, Nancy Pelosi stressed that the Bail Out would:

#1 Not be a tax burden on &quot;Mainstreeters&quot; (vs. those on Wallstreet)

#2 Finally have some accountability for those taking &quot;Golden Parachutes&quot;.

#3 Creating oversight in a form of checks and balances. 

I hope they are true to word. I can't imagine (well actually, I've studied Enron, so I couldn't say &quot;I can't imagine&quot;) - anyway- them forging ahead with a bill that will make folks who can't pay for their homes be responible for paying for the ones who took their homes.

They also said that The Bill would be on &quot;financialservices.house.gov&quot;. However, when I checked, it was not up yet.

    <description>A recent article featured a gentleman who low-balled a couple REO's for almost half of what they were appraised at and sold them for a small fortune. 

This man went to a different state, researched high-end neighborhoods and found 2 houses that were appraised around $725K. 

He offered the bank $400K on each house. Then, he turned around and sold each house for $680K.

How's half a million for less than a year's worth of work?!!!  

Now, honestly if he had a credit score of 619 I'd be REALLY awestruck. But I was already impressed because his credit score was reportedly 819!!

(Do you know any 819-ers???)
